The Devilfish

Source: Disney
The Devilfish is an infamous pirate vessel, imposing, terrifyingly beautiful, a brutal beast of the sea, this legendary ship of the Shackles strikes dread into the hearts of pirates, merchants and sailors on the high seas. The Devilfish is the flagship of the fearsome pirate captain Carnage. Under his command, this ghostly vessel rises from the ocean depths, its sails glowing with abyssal fire, manned by cursed, whether they are soulless crew of fiends, undead or sea creatures worshipping Dagon. Cutting a quick path over open water, the Devilfish boasts strong defenses and lethal armaments. The Devilfish reportedly sailed full of wealth and treasure plundered from many ill-fated victims.

After Carnage completed his pact with Dagon, the Shadow in the sea, by an offering of blood and treasures, the Demon Prince not only infused Carnage with a portion of his might enhancing his already inhuman strength, but also sent one of his mighty krakens as a sign of his favor which hauled a sunken sailing ship from the deeps to the surface. Dagon gave the ship his unholy blessings and transformed it to the needs of Canage. This ship - the Devilfish - is a three-masted frigate, a warship built for speed and maneuverability with only one weapon deck. Her stern is decorated with Skeletons, along with the name of the infamous vessel. The hull of the Devilfish appears to be constructed entirely from driftwood and grisly bones of drunken sailors. At the aft of the ship beneath the helm, are the captain's quarters, which appear more like the den of a fiendish demon from the deep. The crew's quarters are near the middle, close to the ship's weapon deck. This area is filled with hammocks that the living crew sleeps in. The Devilfish also has a brig in the weapon deck. The ship’s weapons emerge from ports on either side of the ship. The ports were carved into the hull and take the forms of sea demons with wide gaping mouths. The Devilfish can deliver a broadside of ten light ballistae on port and starboard and has four additional light catapults mounted on the castles. The prow of the ship resembles the fanged mouth of a Devilfish, and features several carved tentacles reaching out for victims, which reveals the pact with the Demon Lord.

Like many other pirate ships, the Devilfish flies its own Jolly Roger flag. The flag is a large cerulean skull with tentacles. The rigging of the Devilfish has three masts: the fore, the mizzen, and the main. The ship's silken sails are dirty, torn and tattered from long use and many battles. From the masts hang the unfortunate sailors who crossed the Path of the Devilfish and living crewman who roused the anger of their captain. The rules are strict and backed up by harsh punishments such as whipping and keelhauling.

Saltwater merrows
Merrows are best described as the aquatic cousins of ogres with green, scaled skin and webbed hands and feet. Merrows are just as cruel, savage, and wicked as their ogre relatives and are known for pillaging small fishing villages and towns under cover of night. Similar to ogres, merrows have a strong sense of family and typically hunt in gangs. Merrows have a stronger sense of unity than ogres do, and rarely will the leader of a tribe be challenged.
These three merrows were spotted during the voyage from Dagon´s Jaws to Tidewater Rock and with Carnages promise of pillaging decided to join his tribe of a crew.

Shipmates: Trogs
Human Expert or Expert/Warrior
Shipmates are ordinary sailors, the rank-and file deckhands who keep any vessel, great or small, afloat and moving. They are alert for danger and quick on their feet, weathered by wind and wave and sun, but always with an eye for what waits beyond the horizon.
The common gunners are accountable for the ship's guns and ammunition. This includes sifting the gunpowder, to keep it dry and prevent it from separating; making certain that the cannon balls are free of rust, and that all weapons are in good repair. A knowledgeable gunner is essential to the crew's safety and effective use of the ship’s cannons and, most importantly, can anticipate the wishes of his commanders.
